The Guest Edit respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit guesteditstl.com, request a quote, book guest hospitality services, communicate with us, or use a guest-photo or recording service that we provide.
1. Information you provide
Depending on your interaction with us, you may provide:
- Your name, email address, telephone number, and billing or mailing information.
- Event date, venue address, guest count, selected services, staffing preferences, delivery details, and setup instructions.
- Contact details for an authorized on-site representative.
- Inquiries, correspondence, requests, feedback, and information needed to resolve a concern.
- Order details, checkout acceptance records, and payment-related transaction information.
- Photos, videos, voice recordings, written messages, logos, or other content submitted for a selected event service.
Please share only information relevant to your request. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, government identification numbers, or unnecessary medical information through our inquiry forms or ordinary email. When supplying another person's contact details or content, make sure you have the appropriate permission.
2. Website and technical information
Our website hosting and security systems process information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring pages, timestamps, and technical logs.
Browser storage may remember your event-cart selections or maintain an account session where those features are available. Clearing browser storage can remove saved selections or sign you out.
Specific optional analytics or advertising tools, if introduced, will be disclosed with their purposes and applicable choices before use. This policy does not authorize us to activate new tracking without the required disclosures and controls.
3. Payment information
When online payment is available, payment details are submitted through the payment processor identified at checkout. We receive information needed to manage the transaction, such as payment status, amount, date, transaction reference, and limited payment-method details supplied by that processor.
We do not ask you to send full card numbers through ordinary email or general inquiry forms. Card handling by a payment processor is subject to its own privacy notice.
A payment method is saved or used for a later balance charge only when that arrangement is explained and you authorize it. General booking or privacy-policy acceptance alone does not authorize an unannounced future charge.
4. How we use information
We use relevant information to:
- Respond to inquiries and prepare quotes.
- Check service availability and plan delivery, setup, staffing, and collection.
- Manage bookings, payments, confirmations, changes, and refunds.
- Create and deliver the photo, recording, or keepsake services selected for your event.
- Provide customer support and resolve concerns.
- Maintain necessary business, accounting, checkout-acceptance, and transaction records.
- Protect our services against misuse, fraud, and security problems.
- Meet applicable legal obligations.
- Send optional marketing communications when permitted and consistent with your choices.
We do not use information collected for an event booking as blanket permission for unrelated marketing or other incompatible uses.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We share the information reasonably needed with providers that support the services actually used. These may include website hosting, booking and account storage, payment processing, email delivery, digital galleries, photo processing, and recording-file delivery.
For venue coordination or an approved delivery, we may share relevant event or contact details with the venue, the host's authorized representative, or the provider involved. We do not routinely share an entire customer record when only a limited detail is needed.
We may also disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect safety, or establish or defend legal claims. Information may be transferred in a business sale or reorganization, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Sharing necessary information with an operational service provider is distinct from selling customer information. If our practices change, we will update disclosures and provide any choices or consent required before making that change.
6. Guest photos, videos, and recordings
Guest-photo sharing, audio guestbooks, video messages, and keepsake services involve content supplied by hosts and participants. We use that content to provide the selected service and make it available to the agreed recipients.
Hosts should give participants appropriate notice of recording or sharing activities and obtain permissions where needed. Parents or authorized caregivers should manage participation and permissions for children.
Gallery links and QR codes can be forwarded. Access depends on the selected platform and configured settings; a link is not a promise that content can never be shared beyond the event. Discuss your preferred access settings with us before the service begins.
We do not use identifiable client or guest content in our advertising, portfolio, or social-media posts without appropriate separate permission. Buying a photo service or accepting booking terms does not automatically grant that marketing permission.
Files and galleries are available for the period stated in your selected package. Download your copies before the access period ends. Contact us with a content-access or removal concern; requests may need coordination with the host, other participants, or an independent platform.
7. Cookies, storage, and your choices
Essential cookies or similar technologies may support site delivery, security, accounts, cart selections, and payment processing where those features are used.
You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser. Blocking or clearing them may affect site features. Third-party services you choose to use may have their own notices and settings.
Where applicable law requires consent or opt-out controls for nonessential technologies, we will provide those choices before using the technologies. We honor legally required browser privacy signals when applicable; we do not claim that every browser setting controls every independent third-party service.
8. Email and text communications
We send communications reasonably needed to respond to your request or manage a booking, such as confirmations, payment instructions, reminders, schedule changes, and service updates.
Optional promotional communications are separate. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the provided link or by contacting us. That does not prevent necessary communications about an existing booking.
If a text-message service is offered, its enrollment notice will explain the program and how to opt out or get help. Marketing text consent will be requested separately where required. Consent to promotional emails or texts is not a condition of purchasing a service.
9. Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for its purpose, including providing services, supporting delivered files, resolving issues, maintaining required records, and meeting legal obligations.
Retention depends on the type of record, package access period, account status, transaction requirements, and any ongoing dispute or legal requirement. We do not promise indefinite gallery hosting or permanent storage of guest media.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it as appropriate. Backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle, and records subject to a legal obligation may need to be retained longer. Our systems and providers must support the retention practices we describe.
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including limiting access to people and providers who need it for their work. No website, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Protect your account credentials and avoid posting private gallery links publicly if you want to limit access. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your booking or content.
11. Privacy requests
You may contact us to ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion. Depending on your location and applicable law, additional rights or choices may be available.
We may need to verify your identity and authority to act before fulfilling a request. We request only information reasonably necessary for verification and respond within any applicable legal deadline.
Some information may need to be retained for transactions, legal obligations, security, or an active dispute. We will explain relevant limitations where appropriate. We do not penalize customers for exercising legally protected privacy rights.
12. Children and family services
Our website's inquiry, account, and booking functions are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly online from children under 13 through those functions.
We offer family and children's activity supplies, but parents, caregivers, or event hosts arrange those bookings. A service for a family event is not an invitation for children to create accounts or submit personal information independently.
Where event content includes children, appropriate adult permissions and recording notices remain important. We will not enable direct online collection from children under 13 without addressing applicable children's privacy requirements. If you believe a child has submitted information without the necessary permission, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
13. Other providers and processing locations
Links to outside websites, independent platforms, and third-party payment or gallery services may lead to providers with their own privacy practices. Review their notices before supplying information directly to them.
We operate in the United States. Providers may process information in other countries depending on their services and infrastructure, subject to applicable requirements. We remain responsible for the information handling within our control.
14. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as our services or information practices change. We will display the effective date of the approved policy and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
An update does not automatically authorize a materially different use of previously collected information contrary to the promises or choices under which it was collected.
15. Contact us
For privacy questions or requests, use the Contact page or email support@guesteditstl.com.
Include enough information to identify your inquiry or booking, but do not email passwords, complete card details, government identification, or unnecessary sensitive documents.
